2 blessings my ass...I just tested this and he tanks more than half my health with a simple flame spear shot

Ok I get 3 hits instead of 2 and you just reminded me that I have that thing so ty..but still...OP is at max blessings on a higher level(as high as they can be)...the blessing multiply your stats so the higher level you are the more effective blessings are going to be

well whatever, I laugh when I solo pvp against 3 low level players, I mean, if you are not at least 300, you shouldn't try this dlc

Golden Vow + Flame Fortification (plus Defensive Talismans) are very effective at negating Messmer's damage.

He also has the maximum Scadutree Blessing buff to damage negation, whereas most people at Messmer have far less.

The buffs last 80-90 seconds, so provided the fight doesn't drag on it can be face tanked. However, Messmer isn't even remotely difficult compared to a couple other bosses, especially the final boss - so I wouldn't be surprised if this guy gets his face dunked in.

Especially since he's already beat the DLC once, and is still getting ram-railed by Messmer's attacks.

With a lvl 139 char in NG+1 it is just fine. Not as easy as max-level NG+whatever, but not too hard either.

Or do you mean how easy it is NG+1 with max-level char, well if it is fine for meta-level, then you can guess turbo-easy. Also who is even staying at NG+1 with high-level?

Yea I'll throw in incs soon...just dodging and weaving..no sense in wasting time buffing if you have no idea what's going on yet. I could imagine burning like 4 more blessings..probably wouldn't need the incs

I'll get him either way...just not tonight Hippo was enough

Are you aware there was a nerf and you are late to the "DLC is too hard" party. Overleveled as ♥♥♥♥ character with higher than lower amount of blessings. Usually people would take 3 hits from Messmer and had to do it again, you can tank through multiple attacks without single heal. Be proud
No I am not late, I did finish the dlc already, this is my second playthrough, the nerf happened along with the last boss which is sad.
Second playthrough equals maxed blessings lmao

And max level.

Like everything is gonna be easy at that point, let's be real.

Dude tried to slip in it was only 2 blessings lol

Either way, the point of this thread is moot. OP is saying the DLC isn't too hard when you use optimal gear / buffs to target the specific strengths of the boss.

This is obvious, but neglects the fact that not everyone has the right build to exploit the boss' strengths or weaknesses. Most people are tackling the DLC on NG or NG+ with level 150 builds or less, without many Blessings, and as a result things hit hard and don't take much damage.

Yeah no, this is a load of bull. No way in hell you're tanking this much damage on a NG+7 scaling with Scadutree Blessing being at level 2. No amount of buffs/talismans will save you from taking half the HP worth of damage, if not more, on some of those hits.

Either you're lying about your NG+ cycle or about your Blessing level. There's no other option.

and, lots of max level players complaing about the dlc being hard, so?
Dude I'm running the DLC at 148 fighting Messmer with 2 blessings...the games hard AF

Not complaining here but you make your own difficulty with these games..and hardly anybody is running a 713 lol
Tempted to, tbh. Always wanted to max my stats in one of these games, may as well be this one. XD

Didn't make you a post exactly like this about another boss like a few hours ago? Man rage baiters are impatient, at least space your posts out

Id rather die to a boss 300 times than farm to 713...I just can't do it lol...I'll leave 100000 runes to explore somewhere else

I get addicted to running into that boss room tho lol...once a get any small rhythm going I just keep going..tough to pull away
