But K&M is better for aiming.
While Controller for movement.
I played Kingdom Hearts 3 on Game Cube controller on PC, but I play Elden Ring with keyboard and mouse.
It can work, but youre gonna have to remember what each button does.
The button layout is only for xbox or keyboard and mouse, does not bother me though.
Whatever you are personally best at using for action games. Elden Ring is not the best game to learn a new peripheral on.
The game plays perfectly fine using either and may even be a bit better with Keyboard\Mouse as those are usually much easier to configure for optimal response. But, if Controller is your main action game device, use that for sure.
Good Luck
Same here. Just have big hands and decades on KBD/M. I have tried using Controller and simply cannot invest the time to learn it for the payoff it would yield in my environment. I only play on computer monitor and own no console system.
If you are used to controller, then go controller.
