We're friends on Steam, so I know this comes from a place of love, I hate you too ♥
My brother has never played a souls-like game before and was gifted ER+DLC. He started playing but couldn't get a hang of it.
I told him about the mod and we've been waiting to play it together!
Most people only mod a game after enjoying the vanilla experience.
If you want to go back to vanilla, you'll have to remove the seamless save file, remove the EAC blocker, and reinstate your vanilla save.
There could be a few more steps, but there are many guides online how to do it.
Your seamless coop save is completely separate from your main profile, you can almost think of it as having two different instances of elden ring. You can't access stuff from your main profile in seamless coop and viceversa.
Ban_
- Only detects saves when connecting to official server
- The only thing it does is stop you from connecting to the official server
Coop mod saves_
- Do not connect to the official server
- Doesn't even give you the option to do this
So yeah, its impossible. Just follow the instructions on the mod page.
to add to this, you can specify the name of the filetype of the saves for seemless, they are a totally different "file type" in the name of the files and I am pretty sure they have guard rails that prevent you from loading seemless up if you tried to point at the normal file type of the vanilla game... so more than just different saves, it uses a totally different save file record and type than the normal game so even if left in the same place as the normal games saves it would never load them because elden ring doesn't touch those file types.
