Mohgwyn just locked me out of a DLC

I'm trying to beat this mf for a week, I have all the necessary items. I cause bloodloss, I have enhanced Physick flask with that anti ritual of his. I also try to help other players (which from what I see are less prepared). Finding another player at this boss location is not an easy task.


Simply it's not possible for me, even though I manage somehow to get him into the second phase.
Is there a way to beat him? I really want to play DLC that I bought, but simply I'm locked...

My items:
- Eleonora Blade
- Boost Fire Damage Negation Talisman
- Flask of Crimson +6
- Mohgwyn Shackles (I can only use it twice on him)

i mean if youre really struggling that bad just use a mimic tear or a companion summon, up to you though

First of all I'd say you should find the 6 remaining sacred tears to max out the flask of crimson tears. Even if you beat Mohg you won't get far in the DLC without that.

If you can't kill Mohg, play more of the main game. The DLC is gonna pound you into rage quit if you can't kill Mohg.

To put into perspective, I killed him in less than a minute without being hit nor him making it into phase 2, and I still can't even damage the first boss of the DLC.

You could always respec into a mage and comet azure him to death with the infinite mana tear. But I'll be honest, my guy, the DLC is another level of difficulty beyond Mohg. I'd keep practicing and honing your skills.

Are you using all your resources to give you an edge in battle such as a spirit ash?

Also, you mentioned causing blood loss. Mogh gets a damage buff when blood loss happens, even if it is his own. If he isn't able to bleed you, it could be making the fight more challenging.

Grave Scythe +25 Heavy and Spinning Strikes ash of war will make you cry at just how laughably easy it was to kill Mohg.

Rot is also your friend on tougher bosses. The constant damage is ALWAYS a good thing. So either rot pots, or give your mimic the Scorpion dagger, and watch it go to work

You will need Mohg's shackle from the sewers. Margitt's shackle sold by Patches won't work here. But yes, this is a valid strategy as well.

You are correct! I have never used it before so am unfamiliar with the shackles, I just saw this in an Iron Pineapple video yesterday

you need some physical protection also, look up a dragon crest talisman, really helps. Mohg is almost always using that w his swings.

Do you have shard of alexander( 15% more ash of war damage) and lord of blood's exultation? ( 20% more dmg for 20 seconds when you cause bleed)? Those work well w the poleblade.

Or get a second one ( any twin blade w blood infusion)w jump attack set up( dual wield twin blades jump L1 hits 4 times, the bleed is very strong), the claw talisman and the raptor chest piece, for 20% more jump attack damage.

The flask can be much stronger, + 6 is weak for mohg.

your weapon should be max upgrade for mohg, or at least almost max.

How about summons?

Here's a small tip : he gets more powerful every time you bleed him so unless you can burst him down real quick, it's not worth it to make him so powerful as to deplete more than half your health bar in one hit. Use cold instead, or rot.
