I want an easy mode

It's the same thing, over and over again everytime a souls game is released the fanbases are at it. I would REALLY like to see how the reaction would be with an easy mode implemented.
Surely that would alleviate most people's complaints.

No more "tedious" bosses - they die fast.
No more looking for fragments - you don't need them.
No more 1-2 hit kills - you don't die fast.

I know it's not all of the points addressed but I do think it would please a the great majority of the players that are complaining right now. Just do it already, get an easy mode in for the people that need it.
Sure, it will fragment the player base further but it's not like the inherit difficulty setting isn't already doing that.

Or maybe do it the other way like in Kingdom Hearts: make the game easy, and implement a "Souls mode".

It doesn't solve my issue. If it did then the people complaining would look for mods like this, which they don't.
It needs to be in the game, as an acknowledgement from Fromsoft.

That would a stark contrast from Soulsborne's past titles. So, I think it's too late for that.
But just having the option I think is a win-win at this point.

If they were in the game I bet you a large part of the community would be singing praises. I think it absolutely means something. It would also mean people who play on console also gets to enjoy the benefits.

because this is the elden ring forum and your asking for an easy mode for elden ring, me bringing up the ones for dark souls would provide nothing, my dude.

games are allowed to have their own unique design intent, but if you don't like it that way, the mod is there to help you.

I don't think it's fair to say that all the work put into the world building and lore should be overshadowed by the difficulty. It is a huge part, but that's also subjective.
People who have no chance on the DLC for example might still struggle even on an "easy mode".
