Morgott's sword is disappointingly weak.
I swear, no matter what stats i pump, what level i play on, this weapons damage is so laughable its sad. Its like i'm hitting people with a pool noodle. With shard of alexander curseblood slash only does ~600 damage max on both hits. Am i doing something wrong? For reference im using it for PvP, on my PvE builds it works just fine.

Level? Build? Arena or Invasions?

I use this build, was mediocre effective in both arena and invasions

Level 137 invasions. I tried 45 dex +45 arc, 70 dex, 70 arc, damage was all around bad across the board.

I recommend pairing it with offhand bleed waki and going for R1>L1>R1 combos, using the R2 sometimes instead of R1 to mixup your timings. Morgotts flat dmg output is a bit weak even for endgame levels, so you have to play around bleeding your opponent. Once you get to know after how many hits someone is about to proc you can actually build pretty decent pressure and go for the offdagger which is unreactable and get nice burst dmg. The build posted above is good stat wise, although I would go for better armor
