dual seals confusion

im using dragon incants mostly but use other spells for buffs and mobbing, if i offhand the dragon seal and mainhand the erdtree seal, do i get the arcane scaling for my attacks and the incant scaling from erdtree or does it not work that way? will i get the dragon bonus, plus the arcane scaling from dragon seal plus the bigger dmg from erdtree scaling?

If you offhand the Dragon Communion Seal while mainhanding the Erdtree Seal, you'll cast incants using the Erdtree Seals's incant scaling, while profiting from the Dragon Communion Seal's passive bonus to Dragon Communion incants.

As a rule of thumb, if you have very high Fth (≥80), use the Erdtree Seal to cast incants as it's incant scaling is the highest among pure faith builds. Alternatively, just compare which seal has higher incant scaling and you should be good. Best of course would be to use two Dragon Communion Seals, if there is someone who can drop it for you (in case you're using Dragon Communion incants)

The scaling comes from the casting tool you cast with.

The bonus from special seals applies to all casts when you have them in hand (not sure about 2h interaction, but no one 2h-s casting tools really). So you can cast with one seal and have bonus from the other when you hold it in the other hand.

This bonuses also stacks, so having special seals in both hands applies the bonus 2x.

Holding anything with a "boosts X spells/skill effects" bonus in one of your two active hands will give you that effect even if it's not used for casting, but the base power is based on scaling and upgrades of the staff/seal you actually cast with.

(This also means the Highlander Axe boosts power of dragonbreath spells because they count as roars)
