Nagakiba why Dex?
Heavy Nagakiba is better . Prove me wrong.
1.) 54 str same ar as 80 dex keen Nagakiba.
2.) more points for mind/endurance = more spinning slash spin to win) with bloodflame)

But why not use then heavy Grave Scythe?
54 str more ar,more bleed and also jave spinng slash and stormcaller

Do i miss something?

Ofx if dualwield then dex.
I like two hand=more points for endurance

Nothing to prove wrong. A heavy infused Uchi is better (better as in more damage) as well and even outdamages a lot of heavy infused straight swords.

Does stamina consumption change on infusion? I think it would make sense for a keen item to hit one or two more times than a heavy.

Good question. I have no idea but will test it whenever I'm done helping someone defeat Nameless King.

Well heavy Uchigatana is 15 Ar more lol.
There is no point to yse Uchigatana over Nagakiba

It doesn't look like there is a significant difference. I tested it on two Nagakibas, one occult infused and another one heavy infused, trying one handed and twohanded normal and charged heavy attacks.
It's honestly kind of difficult to really measure the amount of stamina used per swing, as the equipment menu only displays the maximum amount of stamina available.

The Nagakiba is almost twice as long as the Uchigatana. This immense range advantage is worth way more than 15 extra damage.
While this is mostly for PvP, it can come in handy during PvE aswell.
Both weapons are great in any case.

That kind of depends on your preferred playstyle, in my opinion. Not everything is or needs to be a numbers game, Elden Ring is a rpg after all.

Also, nakakiba's thrusting heavies are waaaaay better than the normal slashing ones

Ppl topic was about Dex vs Str Nagakiba in bloodflame spinning slash build.
And why not use Grave Scythe instead

The Grave Scythe has a completely different moveset. It's much slower (especially if you put spinning slash on it since it gets the slower spinning slash for greatweapons), but it has some pretty wide, sweeping attacks. It's my favorite weapon, but I don't think anyone is going to dispute that the Nagakiba is a stronger weapon.

Because a scythe is different than a katana. Duh.

There is no effective difference between any of these.

Dex and Strength Nagakiba will perform similarily enough, and bloodflame blade does not alter damage, but only adds bleed buildup.
While two-handing, Strength will be doing a little more damage overall, depending on how much Strength you have. an 80-Strength 22-Dex build will have similar performance to an 20-Strength 80-Dex build, assuming this would be what you are aiming for.

The Grave Scythe does overall more damage on either infusion, but is also far slower. Compared to the Nagakiba, it will do more damage on a Strength build compared to a Dex one.
Whether the trade-off with speed is worth it is up to you. Slow weapons synergise worse than fast weapons when talking of Bloodflame Blade, but it is still very viable.

54 str is max Str scale for two hand.
Yes same as 80 dex but Str variant gives more free lvl points.
Basicaly no point to go 80 dex Nagakiba unless you dual wield them .
