Lore Question.

If Millicent, is the daughter of Malenia. Who’s the father? Or, because Malenia is essentially a homicidal, Vileplume. Is she just a fully blossomed scarlet flower?

I like the Tarnished Archeologist's explanation. Malenia is like a plant and when she blooms she produces little suckers. That weird dude who does the Millicent side quest is always taking about her as a bud, plucking her, and nurturing her etc. This is what happens with big hold tree god

We don't know exactly what relationship Millicent has with Malenia.

Malenia could be the Mother in question and certainly fits the description but it's not explicitly stated that it is Malenia.


Whoever the father is, it's not Gowry. Gowry adopted Millicent,

Millicent and her Sisters could be the product of just Malenia and no one else. Malenia and her brother Miquella are both the product of 1 parent so it's not unprecedented. My theory though is that the father is... Miquella. Her brother, who is also eternally a little boy. Both of which are the product of selfcest which makes it like extreme incest.

My basis for this is based solely on the thought that 1: This is a GRRM story and that man puts a whole lot of incest in his stories. I don't think he'd pass up an opportunity to add in super incest. 2: This is a Japanese game.

Edit: I'd also like to add a third point to my thought that Miquella is the Father, 3: Miquella's super power is making people love him and no one has been exposed to that as much as Malenia. She wears body parts crafted by Miquella and infused with his magic. Her whole life is devoted to Miquella. She's sitting there in her boss room waiting for eternity for Miquella, hand on the womb he was stolen from. Her dying words are crying out for Miquella.

So the consensus is that, Millicent, and her sisters. Derive from a scarlet bud, or Miquella. Given the current Elden Ring, lore. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the latter.

I'm fairly confident we'll get definitive answers in the DLC since it's all about Miquella. Following his life, learning history and unearthing secrets Marika purposefully buried.

He is definitely a very evil person. The first narrator in the Shadow of the Erdtree trailer makes that clear.

Bet the DLC revolves around a new 'elder god' that we haven't heard of before.

St Trina is confirmed to be, Miquella. It says that in a couple items.

Nah, the narrator means what happened to him because of Mog. And even so terrifying doesn't mean evil.

Millicent and her sisters emerged from the Aeonia Swamp, this is in the description of the rotten winged sword insignia.
