Thanks for sharing your unique and special hot-take. Now, what about if you try playing something else?
Buddy, your post doesn't bother me at all. This is a discussion forum, I'm responding to your comment.
Specially to this point you said: "you either cheese everything with magic or suffer this game horrible rhythm". That is not true. In fact, doing a magic run can be difficult as well due to the slow animation of some spells or bosses dodging them. As I said before, I haven't used overpowered builds and still beaten the game.
I do give you a point though, some bosses can really be a disappointment because of the reused models. In fact, there's a lot in the game.
You can interrupt bosses combo by breaking their posture or parrying them, the game it's not all dodging and waiting for a R1 attack. If that's how you're playing the game then you're not paying attention to the games combat system. Sure, some bosses have longer combos but you can counter most of them by dodging behind them, run behind them or even crouching to do a poke attack.
You can play the game offensively as much as defensively. The whole point of the boss is being a unique and challenge adversary. If it was as easy as just pressing one button to win it wouldn't be rewarding to beat them.
It's just like that ol' Dark souls community (annoying) phrase: "Git gud".
Once you get better at the game you will look back at this and laugh.
Nothing forces you to cheese the game, nor use magic. And calling it "horrible rhythm" is extremely opinionated. I've beaten the game plenty of times with pure, no cheese, melee builds. After a while, as long as you're trying to, you'll learn the movesets and git gud at them.
Sorry to hear that. If you're not having fun then, you should just stop playing. Play the games that make you happy :3
I don't think you understood how the bosses in this games combat works. The point of these bosses is that they're are hyper-aggressive and are meant to keep you on your toes. You're supposed to hit them, heal, etc in the middle of their combos, not wait until they're done like previous Fromsoft games.
As for the bosses waiting around too much, i can't blame you for not liking that, and it does get somewhat annoying, but on the other hand it's kinda cool (sometimes) having a stare down edge-walking contest with the boss.
The only boss i think is a bit too passive is Malenia. She's pretty annoying in phase 1.
Well, you've gotten farther than most of the angry folk on this forum, being able to say something positive. I'm glad you enjoyed those parts of the game!
Thats just your opinion. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
