lol the story isn't really any better in the main game and that is like 100 hours
theyre really good actually
- two hits that feel like one (one stuns you,the second kills)
yeah, you have to learn where to position yourself
- unclear attacks from bosses (especially AoE attacks, that flash your entire screen)
yeah, it sucks
- AoE attacks, that flash your entire screen (in this moment, you literally cant see sh!t)
yeah it sucks
- camera on bosses (flying bosses turn boss fight into bad anime fight)
Aside from the first boss, this isn't an issue
- platforming (no comment)
???
- stun for the player
???
- no stun for the enemy
???
I think the DLC is pretty awful myself, but these complaints are out of touch.
- broken hitboxes
Ever heard of "hitbox porn", hitboxes are actually too good in Elden Ring, at least they are for sure MUCH better than other Souls games.
- two hits that feel like one (one stuns you,the second kills)
So it is an attack you should avoid to not get stunned into a followup, yeah, pretty common for Souls enemies.

Heh, yep, Elden Ring might be the worst offender on that one here.
- camera on bosses (flying bosses turn boss fight into bad anime fight)
Camera is fine, you can't rally fix this issue without changing how camera behaves for just one fight (I like how camera works for vast majority of the game), or switching perspective, because some bosses are just too big for game's chosen perspective. Devs also try to make these massive bosses/enemies more mobile, so you don't get these stationary gigantic boss fights which plague God of War games for example.
- platforming (no comment)
Its a flavor for sure, but Elden Ring's is much better than the rest, less clunky thanks to a dedicated jump button. Torrent's "inertia" deserves a special mention here, probably the biggest deaths to gravity contributor for me.
- stun for the player - no stun for the enemy
Isn't this just name of the game, its never meant to be equally fair.
All in all, Its all an improvement overall, compared to other Souls games.
Also, that's a necro.
When you start it will feel like you are lvl1. You will get basically 1 hit or feel like enemies are a lot harder, and have to go to certain weaker areas to start. It may feel like the first major boss you encounter is too hard or you should avoid it.
They may have instead decided to make it so you had to get up to like lvl 200 scale the levels even more. But you just need to get the item as you explore.
Yes the combat is easy. Low IQs have suggested for a long time that it is 'difficult'. It's at the very least 'simplistic' or a lot more than they thought.
But, you likely haven't found enough of those items, so you end up getting 1-hit as if you are low level.
Imo this was fine and its the whole reason they did it. It's like separate from the levels, there is a way to 'level up/progress' but only applies in the DLC area.. so it will get easier the more you progress/explore just like before.
Once you get the tree berriesor whatever that sh!t was then you will gain back to 'regular' levels like 0/10 to 10/10 or whatever.
