Mesmer is so broken its not even funny

With how broken he is and how intentional many of the BS things about this fight are, i honestly hope this DLC get even more negative reviews.
If this is what they have in mind for their future games, i will never buy them even on sale, let alone preorder like i did with all of their prior games.

I found Messmer to be one of the more fair and fun bosses in this DLC, he has easy to learn/dodge attacks (maybe not the super thrust attack combo).

At least he's more fun than Pig Boy and that Irithyl Knight on steroids.

Fingerprint Shield and a thrusting weapon was how I beat him, make sure you have the shield talisman and the new fire resistance talisman from the DLC and you should be able to block everything while taking a small amount of damage from the fire attacks.

I got him second attempt with this busted build, just make sure you got bleed on your weapon to make the fight a bit shorter.

It's just a shame that the hiding behind a shield/guard counter build seems the best due to the high damage and aggressiveness of enemies in the DLC because it's a boring play style.

Playing any Souls game and complaining about difficulty is hilariously silly, these games are supposed to be hard, if that's not what you're looking for just play something else lol.

Besides those snake transformations in phase two, he's one of the most balanced bosses in the entire DLC, I reckon. Easy to learn, somewhat hard to master.

You are right, that would be extremely boring, haven't used shields for at least 6 years playing these games

Messmer was after about 20 trys a very nice boss. It's very good readable. Radahn was over the top. It's readable too, but not easy dodgeable.

You are at blessing 8? Thats your biggest problem right thre, I was at 14 - 15 by this point and you should be able to get to 19 before Messmer.

I mean, its not specifically about damage though. Like every attempt i can consistently get through phase 1, in like 1 minute, then get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by snakes on second phase when he's like 10% HP

I can get through the first phase every single attempt. But in the second phase no matter what happens Messmer goes into giant snakes psycho mode and I always get killed when he's got about ten percent health left.

It's f'n insane. I'm having a hard time believing when people say they figured out his "move set." WHAT move set????

The ground f'n explodes, the snakes make the camera go wonky, you can't even tell which direction you're facing. You don't even know you're being hit and then you're dead.

This boss is not fun. He's stupid hard. It's like the devs. said hey, let's just make attack patterns that will kill you a hundred times before you finally get an attempt where Messmer isn't quite as agressive.

Look, I can SUCCEED at Fromsoft games. I beat DS 1-3, Bloodborne, and ER base game.

So I'm not some noob or seeking to have games nerfed.

But this boss is psychotic hard, and he's not fun at all.

hes imo one of the best bosses from has ever made.
both visually awesome and fun to fight against.
mesmer def has some of that DLC bloodlust and sonic speed. but hes fantastic imo.

Mergo’s Wet Nurse in Bloodborne is my other fave boss. just a cool design imo tho not very challenging lol

One of the most overhyped and boring game ever, designed by incompetent idiots and praised by stupid kids with no life.
I mean, who the ♥♥♥♥ else would spend 7 hours to defeat a boss in a video game, just to flex to strangers on the forums ? In 7 hours I do lots of things, maybe you should get your fat ass from your chair and do the same too.
