Can someone explain the meaning of this "Stat scaling" on fextralife wiki?
So I'm looking at the table of the Uchigatana for max upgrades:

https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Uchigatana

And I'm seeing for example Heavy Uchigatana with A scaling and 142 written in parenthesis.

What is the meaning of these numbers next to the scaling? They're not shown when you select a specific tab such as "Heavy", "Cold", "Blood". Is it the attack rating for a given stat level?

Yes
But usually the weapons are distinct enough on why you'd want to use something that it doesn't matter really, either different heavy attacks or they are unique in some other way

The Halberd class of weapons might have the most need for a closer look with so many mundane and customizable weapons though

The bracketed number is how much AR is being added at a certain specific number in each stat. Not sure what that number is but it's likely 80, which is the last soft cap for weapon scaling.

The parenthesis is the scaling inside the tier

3 weapons with B scaling in Strength may have different scaling efficiency and it's sometimes even by a 20% difference inside a scaling class

The parenthesis is a new update to Fextra so the sub-pages may be not updated yet

But really though the letters are a good way to gauge what the weapon wants you to dump stats on, and with so many unique weapons and passive including weapons, it's rare to be comparing the slight scaling differences

And for example "Scythe" and "Grave Scythe" are just visually distinct enough to tell which would be the more powerful with STR or DEX
