lol....
Spirit Ashes reduce the difficulty of all bosses by at least 200%
thats the opposite of utterly useless
they allow you to hit a boss in the back for free damage
they allow you to have a free healing window
Some of them even do significant damage ( Tiche and MImic )
Still useful, but not as OP as it was in the base game.
it still doesnt change the fact that any given time i summon a spirit ash, it just stands there for a minute.
Or the opposite, they summoned a spirit ash that aggros independently, and ash in question didn't see the enemy the user wanted them to fight yet.
Unless it is one of the ones that engages independently, in which case the problem is that the spirit ash simply didn't see the enemy you want them to fight.
In fact, which spirit ash specifically are you having issues with?
I think if you use it then stand back and don't attack its using it incorrectly. You can also just straight up summon the wrong one, certain ash's just flat dont' work on some bosses.
Also if you're using a very off meta and clunky build then you would be wrong in using the mimic tear... i've had a few builds where the mimic tear is the worst choice because it can't use whatever dumb gimmick i made.
You can also mess up an ash summon by summoning it too late or early or by summoning it near the edge of a summon area and having it blink out because you rolled backwards.
Ash's aren't hard to use but they aren't an insta win button if used without any thought.
