🚨 Shadow of the Erdtree is bad. 'Git Gud' Just Isn't Enough"
Alright, folks, let's talk about this Elden Ring DLC. :steamfacepalm:

First off, sure, the graphics and world-building are top-notch, but who cares when the boss fights are a complete dumpster fire?
Seriously, FromSoftware, what were you thinking? These bosses are so hard it's like they want us to suffer.

I mean, come on, I'm all for a challenge, but this is just ridiculous. I'm supposed to "git gud"? How about you "git real" with your game design?

I spent 15 minutes fighting that stupid Lion guy, waiting for the one-in-a-million chance to get a hit in. And I'm running a dex build, so I should be fast, right? Nope, just waiting for RNGesus to bless me with an opening.

The lore, weapons, and everything else? Yeah, they're great. But who cares when the bosses make you want to rage quit every five minutes?

Game is not for everyone. Idgaf. Sekiro was awesome despite the devs knowing it wouldn't make great sales. If you want to play a mass market AAA game, play assassins creed yasuke, and leave the people who like souls like to enjoy the challenge.

Git gud.
Yeah, how is someone supposed to "git gud" if the game doesn't allow them to? Lots of the bosses literally have attacks that aren't dodgeable, parryable nor blockable. So please explain how someone can improve their skills if the game doesn't even allow them to. And don't act like Fromsoft isn't a huge AAA developer. They make AAA game because they are a AAA game company, and with this DLC they've gotten really lazy, like Ubisoft.
You can literally block every enemy except Malenia and shes easy to dodge. Fingerprint shield trivializes basically the entire game lmao.

In short, wtf are you talking about dude? How are your shields not shielding?? Lol

Dlc was always suppossed to be challenging, it is about totally pushing player to the brink. That was always what i wanted from the DLC, you did not provided any argument but just delivered your feelings. Say it is not for you and keep on brother.

and yet people have rune level one'd the entire game and dlc which requires not being hit because if you get hit you die with that health so clearly you can do one of the options to every attack.

i would had loved to see rennalas sister actually get a cinematic boss enter, alot of bosses just feel like the pruiser from darksouls 2 just bein there, with a name
and would had loved more npc world buildin maybe a hub world like round about table just going back and forward is annoying from base game map to dlc

I think it's petty great so far, I am having a blast but then for me exploration is just as important as combat. So far the main bosses I've beaten (Dancing Lion and Rellana Twin Moon Knight have been awesome tense fights). The areas though are gorgeous but if I do have one complaint then it's that they are a little too sparely populated.

You can traversal the map for a good ten minutes and not see a single enemy, this kind of goes against the design ethos of open worlds where for every 3-5 min of traversal in any direction there should be something that catches your attention and draws you to it.

While I have only done two of the legacy dungeons, I have uncovered the entire map and the only boss so far for some reason who gave me a hard time was Jorie, Elder Inquisitor in the Darklight Tomb that blocks the path to Abyssal Woods. It took me forever to kill this stupid f**ker.

I am by no means the worlds best player, in fact I entered into the DLC for the first time on New Game +. I was really worried to would frustrate the crap out of me on NG+ after hearing everyone b*tch about the difficulty but I haven't found it overly difficult though. It's tough but this is end game content so what were ya'll expecting? A walk in the park?

People simply enjoy a good dumpster fire, so you have to make sure you offer hotdogs and hamburgers when the crowd decides to show up. That 9/10 10/10 rating by the game reviews simply prove the game industry is no different than the movie industry that owns the publications that promote their less than stellar products.

I for one have decided to approach games like movies now, wait six months and read the player base reviews to decide if I want to purchase the product after it goes on sale. To hell with purchasing garbage simply because fanboys fawn over a specific company regurgitating old content.

lol what do you even consider a build in Elden Ring? There are no builds, it's just attribute allocation and weapon loadouts. Most of the weapons in the game are mean to be at least somewhat viable.

There are no builds? So putting together attributes, specific weapons and abilities is not a build now, it's just putting together attributes, specific weapons and abilities. Uh huh.

that would be a definition of a build, yes

My left wrist is fractured and yet i still manage to beat the lion boss after third try.

It ain't hard to learn the moves of bosses.

(also maybe level Vigor? That can also be an issue too)

No, it isn't. It's just a loadout selection. The allocation of attributes barely qualifies as a build, and neither does one skill per weapon. It's hard to make a loadout in ER that sucks.

I wouldn't say it's bad....
But...
I also wouldn't say it's great...
I'm about halfway through and it's already become quite stale.
Meh...For me it's a 6 or 7 out of 10 probably.
