Worried about the current state of this game

With the new DLC released, it feels like they just mashed up Bloodborne bosses into a souls-like experience thinking it would turn out great. The results are that a lot people realise the flaws the base game had and how the DLC just worsened them. I was excited about the DLC, but as soon as I hit Messmer, I got really worried about the boss fighting system they would be implementing later on.
And yes, I have finished the DLC without cheesing and without summons.

I also don't understand why so many FromSoftware fanboys keep yelling "git gud", or similar phrases. It just means they have no valid arguments towards any of the critics's reviews. In general, the DLC was a letdown.
