DLC is going DOWN, hype is over so let's get serious

rating of this DLC is dropping significantly on Steam as the moment of excitement from the kids is slowly passing. Our forum experts are getting a reality check. - shout out to the people from my previous posts who were defending this 'dlc' :D

Currently, the DLC has a 61% global positive rating

I would expect more from an expansion to the Game of the Year priced at $39.

- totaly unbalanced dlc,
-Very few dungeons, there are even some without bosses,
-Bosses are repetitive,
-Locations, although visually very beautiful are empty, don't quite appeal to me,
-Exploring these locations is pointless because you're not rewarded for it, it's just empty fields and not worth poking around,
-No achievements,
-FPS drops no matter how powerful your PC is, often dropping to around 40 fps,
-I still remember the release time change on Steam and the delay by 5 hours... and I mention this because many people took that day off work
-The final boss is a bad joke

ER is my favourite game of all time, and this DLC is nothing in comparison. I think this is overated hugely by reviewers. Its just not fun in any way. No point poking around for items when none of them are better than what you already have, pointless putting new equipment in when it doesnt improve your stats at all. The scadutree levelling is stupid because enemies scale with it, so they may as well have not bothered with that at all. Baffles me how this got such high scores, and this isnt coming from a troll who enjoys slamming games, I have over 1000 hours in ER and this is such a disappoinment

Wholeheartedly agree. I was already disappointed by Elden Ring because of how empty and rushed the late game areas were and was hoping that the DLC would be way more dense and would finally answer all our questions about Marika, the Gloam Eyed Queen, etc. Sadly, the DLC feels rushed and incomplete, and it makes me wonder what they were working on these past 2 years.

Steam did NOT delayed the DLC it was just displayed incorrectly has nothing to do withe the game

The fact that the game sold well because people bought it before they could test it doesn't mean anything, only the evaluation of the expansion after its purchase does. The fact that many people bought it doesn't mean that they don't have the right to criticize it and have a negative opinion about it.

The fact that many people bought it doesn't mean that they don't have the right to criticize it and have a negative opinion about it.

The problem isn't the opinion, it's that you're hiding behind bogus arguments when you're very clearly inciting for points and awards. You've set up a pattern that's easily identifiable, and nobody can trust your intent at this point.
