NG+ exploraton progress
If I start a NG+, are the icons of "sites of grace" discovered going to disappear from the map?
Is there anyway to keep tracks of my exploration? Because with the first release of the game, it wasn't possible.
Years ago, I tried to mark every sites of grace but it wasn't possible because the numbers of sites exeeded the available marks limit.

I don't mean keeping active the sites of grace with the NG+... I know that it would break the game and it would be pointless.
I mean keeping only the icons (maybe with a different colours until they will be activated again), so I can understand if I had already discovered a place or completed a dungeon.
NG+ with a complete reset of the world was ok in Dark Souls or Sekiro because the map was smaller and with few bonfires. It's impossible proceeed with the same NG+ with Elden Ring where there are 200 and more bonfire and dozens of dungeons.
There must be something to let you keep your exploration progressin the map, maybe a key items or a game option?

Did you try to put markers? You can put up to 100 of them

Not really im afraid.

BUT, the next update will add a list of the Summoning Pools youve interacted with, which will carry over to NG+ instead of resetting them.

Considering theres pretty much one of these close to every open world boss and dungeons (multiple in the bigger dungeons), you could use that.

your world is completely reset, yes. it has more in common with rolling a new character with a new world entirely than continuing your old world state

but if such things matter to you, do not ng+ after the patch as they will be adding the ability to keep the summoning circles between ng cycles at least for co-op purposes

however that's just 1 thing and does not include graces
