I can give pyromancy a go though. I don't think I really tried doing Catch Flame in the early game.
I'm still really disappointed with the equipment alteration system. Oh wow, we can remove the cape. It's not like they could have made a single Lordsworn Soldier set and let us alter it to create the different variations. Being able to pick the patterns, colors, and emblems seems like it would have been pretty basic.
