Asking veterans who had the old Deluxe edition

Greetings I'm newbie to soul games, need some insight about DLC-related:

As the new DLC edition obviously offers cheaper price for new player like me, but i read some forums & reddit posts that ppl said they didn't get the Shadow of the Erdtree as the previous Deluxe owner which was clearly stated in the bundle details as many mistakenly thought it'll be like old DS3 deluxe that was included the season pass, meanwhile the elden ring deluxe = standard edition + digital contents only.

But a veteran friend of mine said he got the DLC, as he shared his screenshot payment page[imgur.com] as a proof. Was it wrong or am i misinformed? he aint trolling tho

Can someone who had the same confirm this? i might consider buying the shadow of the erdtree deluxe edition if it'll include another future DLC

DS3 was the only entry in the franchise with a season patch (i even got a awesome bonfire t-shirt for pre-ordering the Deluxe edition!). Miyazaki just answered with a "We will see" when asked about more DLC, so you are not getting anything else that Shadow of the Erdtree with whatever you buy (even the collector edition).

yes i read it as everyone says it, but my friend's ss clearly stated that he already owned the shadow of the erdtree edition + the option to purchase for himself is unavailable, he didn't buy the new one tho, hence im asking if any of you got the same result as prev deluxe owner

He's conviniently left out the explanation of what "1" means, which is - "Your account already owns some of the above items, so you can’t purchase them again. You can purchase these items as a gift or adjust the contents of your cart to continue."

In this case, Steam refers to you already owning Elden Ring, so you can't purchase this bundle for yourself, only as a gift for someone else.
