What's a good way to optimize my build?
Currently I mainly rely on incantations/faith, but I usually also have out the coded sword for when things get close. I have been tempted to use the winged scythe or grave scythe (adding holy to it, because I want whatever melee weapon I use to have holy).

I mainly use frenzied flame & dragon incantations if that helps.

Would it be better to use two seals instead? Or is the one seal & a melee weapon best?

Most of my points are in fairh, arcane, & mind

magma whip candlestick in right hand.

reasons:

-it scales with faith and dex, which are both attributes you likely invested points into
-you will likely want to use melee against small fast opponents and whips have AOE, so youll catch those pesky dogs as well as hit groups of enemies
-the magma whip deals fire damage, against small enemies fire damage is like a super hitstun, so you wont get countered with a hyperarmor attack and can just keep slashing
-it only weights 2.5, so you dont need to invest too much to keep the light rolls
-it has good range, so you have an easier time disengaging, should you wish/need to

the AOW is kinda crap, but you have incantations at your disposal , so thats not really relevant.

the magma whip is missable by defeating rykard, so better look it up on fextra before killing the poor demigod.

If you want to get the most out of your offensive incants, using two seals is the way to go.

Main hand: fully upgraded seal with highest incant scaling
Off hand: unupgraded seal which provides a passive bonus for a certain school of incants (like Gravel Stone Seal for dragon cult incants)

Talismans: Godfrey Talisman to increase damage of chargeable incants, Ritual Sword Talisman for +10% damage for as long as you're at full health, Flock's Canvas Talisman, and any elemental Scorpion Talisman to furtzer increase dwmage output (note the absorption penalty it provides as well).

This is my basic loadout for a full faith caster build. I also use two Codes Swords or two flame art infused Lordsworn Swords to get around enemies with high holy negation.

I was mostly worried about burning through "mana" with that build, how fast do you run out?
