40$ is a VERY sketchy price for a DLC.

FromSoft knocked it out of the park with the base release of Elden Ring. They shattered everyone's expectations and admirably stayed away from microtransactions, battle passes, premium currencies, lootboxes, invasive DRM, and other slimy money-grubbing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. They stayed true to the fans, and I won't soon forget that. They're one of the last few golden children in the AAA gaming industry. And they'll have my support for as long as they stay that way.

I'm prepared to put my faith in them again with the release of this DLC. I refuse to prePURCHASE any product. (preORDERING is a different thing) Though I do fully intend to buy it when it comes out.

That said, there had better be a metric CRAPTON of content in this DLC to justify it costing nearly as much as a full release game. If it costs 2/3 the price of a whole game, it had better add two thirds of a game's worth of content. If it doesn't imma be the first person lamenting how they betrayed the fans, and how nobody should be so trusting of their next title.

I love the stuff FromSoft makes and all their DLCs have been extremely high-quality and well worth the money in my opinion, but I am inclined to agree here. The 2/3rds base game price really puts it into perspective

If the DLC does contain a significant amount more content than regular FromSoft DLCs because of the already large size of the base game then it will absolutely be justifiable. If it's an DS-sized DLC it's not (unless it's as high-quality as TRC)
I'm not going to prepurchase but I will probably buy within the first week of the release; I do have high hopes for this

We'll see how much is in the DLC. Its possible the sheer amount of content could justify the price. But I'll wait and see.
