Game Capped At 60fps In Fullscreen?
i swear this wasnt an issue before??
i've not touched the game much for a few months and recently game back looking forward for the DLC, I play on a 144hz Monitor so whenever a programme or my monitor isnt in 60hz the colours go weird and greyed out... any fix to make this 144hz in fullscreen? thanks :er_heart:

Bro Hz is different than fps.

If you have 60fps and 144Hz each frame will be on your monitor faster than a 60Hz monitor. Every souls game has been 60 or 30fps

I just frame gen my way to 120 fps
Btw it was updated to have 3x framegen so you can get 180fps

And also, playing 60fps on a 144hz monitor shouldn't do anything to the colours. Sounds like an HDR issue tbh

You can use a mod to unlock the framerate, bur you won't be able to play online with it (you have to disable Eac)
Try bordeless screen the game still gives u the 144 hz image so u have a less shakey image and more calm to the eye. 144 hz is still there its just cuts it down to 60 fps.

I do have 144 Hz monitor and when it's set to 60 Hz it makes image look like behind some fog. The way I deal with it is to use 144 Hz refresh rate on my screen and borderless windowed in game.

I have just always used the FPS Unlocker tool for Elden Ring. Works perfect, single exe file.

FPS shouldn't be affected by the refresh rate of your monitor. Maybe write a support ticket as the colour anomolies sounds abnormal.

So many clueless answers regarding fps and monitor refresh rate. Playing 60fps on a 144hz screen is horrid. The fps cap needs to match or at least divide evenly by two of the monitors refresh rate to feel smooth.

Many monitors only support 60 or 144, not 120. Perhaps it's different on a large gaming monitor, but looks fine on my laptop running at 144.
