NG+ Noob
On my first run and far from beating the game. When is a good time to NG+. The only other time I've NG+ a game was Witcher 3 and I vaguely remember doing it too early and I was under powered for most of the time. Do I want to hit level 300, level 150? Do upgrades carry over? I probably won't even finish my run until the DLC drops just prepping lol

Level 150 is just fine. The difficulty scaling of ng cycles doesn't really pick up until ng+3/ng+4, in my opinion. You'll be va stly overpowered for most of ng+, especially during the early parts.
Your upgraded weapons and flasks carry over, just like all cunsoumables including crystal tears for your physick. The only thing that does not carry over are great runes and some other key items needed to progress through the game. Meaning you won't be able to respec until you defeat Rennala.

Everything but story-related-items are carried over, but there's no real incentive to go through NG+

You may level as much as you can, unless you care about online interactions, but hitting real high levels (200+) won't improve your overall experience.

NG+ (and beyond) enemies will receive passive boosts (namely health+damage), so it's only a matter of "how much do you want to suffer?"

Considering how vast Elden Ring as a game is, I'm still kind of sad about the lack of content in ng+. No new enemy placements, no new dungeons, no new weapons, really nothing.
I eventually proceeded into ng+4/5 (can't recall, honestly) to get a high level helper char but man it's just a letdown, in my opinion.

You plain omitted how late game will rip you a new one. NG+ malenia / Radagon / Elden Beast will likely be a massive PITA for many players

Swamps and lava no longer slows you down in NG+ so you can sprint through them.
Unless they patch it in DLC :-)

Enemies and bosses keep getting stronger until NG +7.
NG +8 and later are same as NG +7.

Honestly not by omission. While it's true that some bosses will be a tad more difficult, I just don't consider the difficulty of ng+ this severe, including those encountered during the endgame/post-endgame. It basically boils down to how well players are with the moveset of the boss, but there's still room to breathe/heal if you get hit.

I agree.

I won't ever be able to imagine the real boredom of getting through more than one NG+ cycle. I can't picture this without a "i'm a nolifer"
