Need help with you know which bear in Caelid cave

Please I need help to get rid of him to collect the talisman without it killing me when retrieving runes and such :'v
Would appreciate help with the boss as well :)

Sneak past it. You dont need any special item or incantation/spell. Just be careful or hell.....run for it loot the bullhorned talisman and die! This just works!

Did you try to crouch past it? Equip a Sacrificial Twig in case you die.

Tried running for it, sacrificial twig consumed, he kicked my ass horribly, it did not end well :'v

Sneaky sneaky. Or kill it. Remember if you crouch in tall grass you're pretty much invisible unless something bumps into you.

If you have the patience, try poisoning it with Serpent Arrows. It should be relatively safe aswell if you have a bow with the Rain of Arrows weapon art. It takes a while to finish the job, but it works.
Or you could try lobbing Sleep Pots/Arrows at it, this should essentially take the bear out of the way for a minute or two.

Same way you came in. Then there's a hole the other direction from the Talisman that will take you to the mini-dungeons boss.

This really should be the only good advice.

Back around release time, I was so incensed that FromSoft stuck this guy in a small cave with such high scaling. I died a bunch of times but eventually decided to just sneak past. I didn't forget this however.

Then when all I had to do was kill the final boss, I decided to return to that cave for some sweet revenge. Even after returning with a much higher level he managed to pin me against a wall and kill me on the first attempt. I got him on the second attempt easily though.

My reward? Beast Blood. Something you can get from even the regular-sized bears. Yeah, complete waste of time. Thanks for the troll, Miyazaki! I thought the trap chest to Caelid was going to be the only overt trolling this time around. Glad to see the spirit of Dark Souls is alive and well!

Glad to read that. Come later to the cave with more RL and better gear if you want a good laugh! The bloodstains of people killed by the runebear are pure comedy.
