Stuck in matchmaking

I've been unable to matchmake for about a month now despite my connection to servers and internet working without any problems.

Is it possible I've been perma banned from multiplayer?

Shouldn't matter, I think. No matter what save I use, it's the same deal. Stuck on matchmaking.

If you can see bloodstains and messages then you are not banned. When you "press any key" you have a popup. If it starts with "welcome" then you are not banned.

It does matter. Both kind of follow a natural progression. If your weapon upgrade level is too far off from your rune level you won't find anyone and vice versa.
Also, if your level is too high in general you will have trouble finding anyone as well.

226 (+max) isn't very active from what I remember. It goes up from 300 again, or so I was told. 155 on the other hand should give you some activity.
Usually, your sign won't show up for other players if you're banned. If you want we can test this by making use of password summons.
