Undodgeable attack

Ok this game can be pretty hard with attack timings, all the delays etc. Some even need to be jumped! But you really can dodge every attack on say medium roll. And yet there is one attack that seems not to be dodgeable - at least for me. WATERFOWL, ask you?

Hell no. Waterfowl can be dodged, it just has really weird dodge directions. You even can run away from it. But this one attack, I tried strafing, I tried rolling, nothing works - it seems to hit no matter what if there are no obstacles between you.

Im talking about Fire Giant's double bazooka blast. It doesnt even oneshot, but it always hits, which is annoying af. To all you ER pros - HOW TF DO YOU DODGE IT?

I only have seen this Attack on YouTube, im allways kinda under him i guess. And well i think you can at least use the enviroment to not get hit. But Yeah, Fire Giant is my Nemesis cause he ♥♥♥♥♥ up all my no Hit attempts in the Game with rendon ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ XD or im just not that good yet :D but try beeing allways at his balls, Like a sad i never saw this attack in my playthrous :D

Solo it isn't an issue since yeah, you're under him, but in coop I usually use ranged attacks to support the host, and fire giant is my top 1 summoning boss (I get summoned there more often than for Rykard). Doesnt help he always rolls away///

It can be dodged like any other attack. My personal problem was that these fireballs are quite large and travel at high speed, which made it somewhat hard for me to determine when exactly they're going to reach me. But! Once you get used to it, and dodge them at the last possible moment, you can consistently evade them without doing anything else.

An alternative strategy would be running to the side and then dodging. Dem fireballs don't have a lot of tracking, so simply running left or right and gaining a bit of extra momentum with dodge rolls works wonders. And if he's not looking directly at you - if he was attacking a cooperator/Spirit Ash just recently and then decided to give you a little firey kiss on your forehead - you can just run and not a single one will be able to reach you.

I guess Ill try that running and rolling thing, dodging at last moment doesnt seem to work when there are two of them, since explosion is somehow lingering and still gets me (maybe it works with fastroll but fashion before all). A really weird attack, you can see it coming (he looks at the one who he wants to shoot with his EYE) and yet can do nothing but eat it, it's like that Rykard serpent head-under-ground shockwave (but the latter is physical damage so it barely tickles me even at 25 vig)

I thought you might be a caster :D then its an issue, i see :D i think its the kind of attack you allready have to be in side motion Running to have a chance to dodge :O and it comes out fast too :O

I thought you might be a caster :D then its an issue, i see :D i think its the kind of attack you allready have to be in side motion Running to have a chance to dodge :O and it comes out fast too :O

It's the second one hitting you, not a lingering explosion. This is a back-to-back attack, so you need to be quick - you dodge the first fireball, and then immediately input another dodge. Fail to do that, and the second one will hit you every time.

Im not into Pebbels :D but i like spellblade builds :D have not tryed the bolt yet :D im kinda to dumb for casting since everything above 3 spells makes me switch to the wrong one :( i just suck at it :( some Buffs and some ♥♥♥♥ to throw at Invaders thats it

Yep thats exactly what I do, panic roll so to say. Maybe it really has something to do with fastroll. Anyway thanks! Now I use blackflame to melt this bastard in coop, but for ranged builds I'll try it out.

That's the neat part - Bolt of Gransax is a pure dex spear that has a long-ranged nuke as a weapon art. A perfect fit for me - 1 braincell, 1 attack. Then only the flasks and crab meat in the item bar, and you can fight at every distance

Do you mean the two fire Balls that he makes with his arms or do you mean the fast spitting attack ?

I'm dodging them on medium load no problem. Your timing is off, is all. Which I guess is fair, this attack in particular is a bit tricky to get used to. Still, light rolls or medium rolls - both work, just gotta quite literally git gud (not in an insulting way )

Sure ok, so that is possible! I'll keep trying then (not that I like the fight, buuut gotta git gud)
