not that what ChatGPT is saying is untrue
Uncensored Claude is better though.
- PvP is a core component of the Souls series and is the most fun part of it.
- YEEEEEEAAAAAAH!!!
Sure.

Separate patches? Idk what you mean by this. Just stay up to date? Like with literally EVERY multiplayer game?
Separate stats? No not at all. MAYBE you might think this if you chronically hate pvp because you got fear mongered into it....but skill makes the build and not the stats. If what you said was true I wouldn't be on the last boss with my "PvP build" because it isn't a "pve build".
Its a core component that has existed since demon souls. "PvP'" is literally in the tags.
About "separate stats" what do you even mean by this? Build optimization? My build (my only character) is literally VIT-END-STRENGTH. That's baby's first build, not an "optimized pvp" build. And it has golden combatant in *every* arena. So your claim that you need separate stats is just patently false, and indicative of you being new to the series-and/or unjustly hating a core feature that this series has had since launch. Feel free to hate it, it makes the invasion all the much sweeter. But lying about it makes you a liar.
Solo/co-op priority
•Soul games are made for the solo experience first, co-op then pvp. The experience of pvp is blatantly slapped on and has only (far as I've seen) in Elden ring had updates with large pvp focus in mind. Previous covenants add to longjevity, but it's niche minority no matter the soul game.
PVPs long list of issues
•Bad netcode
•Anti-cheat being easy to bypass (literal vids showcase using CE in 15 min with no ban)
•Radio silent devs to the community growing toxicity
•Removed rewards for slaying hosts/co-opers (lol)
•Poise forever a changing half-baked mechanic
•co-opers don't have any form of friendly-fire
•Twinking
•Devs too slow to patch massive exploits
•Removal of spell "Chain casting" that could've been balanced and become a real mechanic to add depth to combat.
•Combat is too boring and simple, ds2 and bloodborne which are years behind had years ahead ideas for combat. It's a boring game of, "you attack I punish" or "I wiggle my character to be janky and spam running attack"
•Taunters tongue focuses too much on solo hosts and can be turned on/off to make easy ganks.
•Soul games never teach pvp or introduce it well. It's a gamble to get a good invasion for new/old players. (The pve invasions have bad ai)
•Build varity sucks.
•active runes work only for pve or ganking/dueling invaders
•Etc
I think the stuff I've bolded is either incorrect or minor, but otherwise this is spot on. I think it's totally fair to argue that a mechanic that is constantly sloppily designed, badly implemented, and then poorly supported over the game's lifecycle shouldn't be considered a "core mechanic."
But then again, it really does totally depend on how you define the term.
