My flask is empty, nearly dead, in cave, can't fast travel what can I do?
Hi, I recently purchased this game and have barely played it but am struggling soo bad you wouldn't believe it.
So, I saw a cave and went in, saw a couple of wolves and went for it, only to find that were actually more than just two and I think one of them was some kind of mini boss kinda thing.
Anyway after dying a couple of times (seems to happen a lot!), I managed to kill them but have used my healing flask, which is now empty, I have about two health points left and cannot go out the way I came as I jumped down off a ledge, what can I do? anything? or just die, lose all my runes/cash and start again?
Not really enjoying this game much but expect it's because I am still learning, any help would be nice thanks.

Oh yeah, and it could be worth trying to start a second savefile as a different character class to see if you meld with their playstyle better (and if you don't, just go back to your original character)... my goto recommendation is the Confessor, who starts with an easy-to-use broadsword, a good shield + medium armor, and both a healing spell and a stealth buff. You can check out three separate playstyles in one swoop and their drawback of having stats spread out all over the place isn't so bad if you haven't figured out how you'd like to play.
The game honestly isn't that hard.
But the startup is a bit rough, and with low vigor you'll die a little fast before you can figure out how, and how to avoid it. It's a bit of a slow burn, and you basically have to learn the tricks and the timing a little to get on.

I'll spoiler one bit to make things easier; you can get to the ruins and there's 2 sites of grace there, rest and talk. And if you teleport from there back to the church with the merchant, there'll be someone to give you a horse and a thing to summon spirits that help with fighting.

If you can't get a refund, and it seems too frustrating now, getting back to it later might indeed be the best idea.
I kinda hated DS at the beginning. Finished the game a year later when I was in the mood for it. Had plenty of fun with it.
