Anyway, people sticking to the META is as old as multiplayer in videogames.
Bleed as a build is already pretty balanced. Just including bleed isn't a bleed build, you can stuff bleed into anything. Dedicated builds to causing bleed and getting the most out of it aren't overwhelmingly strong compared to other builds.
I mean, bleed is monotonous in the same way physical damage is monotonous. Builds tend to have it like they tend to have physical, and sometimes you decide to focus on it like you might focus on just hitting ♥♥♥♥ really hard for physical. You don't actually have to invest at all into it, because so many weapons just come with it.
I like using Winged Scythe in PVP, for example, and that comes with bleed I haven't invested a thing into because it's just there as the occasional extra damage. I've done proper bleed builds in the past and they feel totally different in spite of both including bleed damage, just like they'd both also feel different from a mage build that also has a sword for a bit of physical damage if someone gets too close.
