Co-op summoning ranges

One of my favorite parts about this game is setting my summon at the effigies and help people through their co op, but I had a question for anyone who could help out. I'm currently rl65 with +5 somber and +12 regular but i noticed my frequency of summons is quite a lot lower than I was expecting. I've been active in activating every effigy. is my level\weapon level range just off? I'm actually around altus in this playthrough, but I have opened up the gates to leyndell after draconic tree sentinel. have effigies in upper caelid, mt gelmir, altus, some in leyndell, etc. what gives?

Your SL and weapon upgrade lvl is ok. It depends also on time of day how often you get summoned, and on weekends it's more active.
When you don't get summoned, spam your sign every now and then. Invaders do it very often, but it works also with coop sign.

I'm on my 9th journey and some things have changed in how I approach the coop. I've finished my first journey without cooping. After that, started cooping. Even when I was on lower levels, I rarely got summoned (maybe because my skills :/). Then, started summoning coops just to hunt invaders. Time passed and it felt like I was bothering people. Anyway, here I am taunting invaders on my own. At least those are the people coming voluntarily

i still dont know hows the summon thing is work. cant find no one when i try to summon someone near the effigies

You can, if you both use a multiplayer password. Using said password removes any and all level restrictions.

People willing to lend you a hand here will still be classified as "randoms", technically.

But yes, simply placing a sign won't allow you to summon players with a far higher level, compared to yours.
