What it means is, you kill the boss in a sequence that is predictable and reliable, that is the same every time. You still have to execute it. I have no hit DS3 any% and there I scripted some bosses, I scripted some bosses in Bloodborne too.
LOl you didnt read topic nor watch any of the videos
its not actually scripting in terms of letting a computer program play >-<
Scripting in Souls games means you need to do very little before the fight enters a sequence that is predictable and repeatable.
As shown in my Grafted Dragon Video here in this thread:
Once i get the first Stun in Phase 1 which isnt too difficult
-----The fight is basically over.----
everything that happens after that becomes 100% predictable due to damage , poise and modifiers combined with the bosses behaviour when certain hitpoint thresholds are reached.
its like running a script.
but its ofc not running a real script >-<
In the example i posted a video i only need to get the first stun
and then i get either a garantueed 0 hit or i can safely portal out when he does the 10% chance to jump into aoe slam attack.
cause when ground aoe i can run away and its enough time to use the -> lose all runes port out
The idea is to make 0 -hit easier.
This is probably one of the most popular scripts 0 hit runners use.

The damage i had in this video was overkill..... i was level 104
I had +10 Serpent Hunter , Bloodboil and Golden Vow inc + Charge attack talisman + Ritual Sword talisman + charge physique
Lowest you need to make it work is +9 Serpent Hunter , Flame Grant me strength and golden vow ash + charge talisman. everything else is bonus
but you have to rebuff golden vow ash before hitting the hands.
Just felt that if anyone hates fire giant as much as me
he can try to copy this.
Its important to transition into phase 2 with 2 charge attacks for 74 poise damage
so that you only need 2 charges on the hand to get the stun.
Malekith >_<

well this is not as easy as it looks since you need to be aware of a lot of small details regarding positioning and timing
but once you get the hang of hit it basically cant fail
well cheese and "scripting" are kinda different ;)
scripting means you make the fight predictable but all the actions that happen are normally in the game and nothing is "broken"
To break down the start of the Malekith "script" for example
I know if i walk back this amount he will always do the double spin follow attack
but if i walk back too much he has 50% chance to do a jump attack.
So by walking the correct distance backwards i can 100% fore the double swing attack
etc....
and combining such puzzle elements in ER Bossfight AI is what in the end makes a combination of predictable events that garantuee a win
yepp i agree.
learning to predict attacks is normal for experienced and good players.
But with "scripting" you take it 2 stepps further and completely predict the fight from start to finish ;)
its kinda fun to do it every now and then
thats why i do some of that stuff myself.
but i also think it made 0 hit runs kinda a bit "boring"
This lead to a fight in which I used nothing but a single hand of malenia and the raging wolf armor against mohg, playing malenias theme over mohgs theme instead.
It felt awesome avenging malenia and freeing miquella, helping the twin prodigies out in their darkest moments.
