I'd definitely trying any of them, except DS2. The earlier ones are much more linear but still provide that "more than one way to approach a situation" feel. Plus the not so open world contributes a lot more to how refined it feels IMO. And ya I hate that part of NG+/replays, having to read or watch the guides to do NPC quests is an annoying constant with FS.
Still love Elden Ring significantly more. Combat is more polished and build variety is much better. I also like the bosses and enemies in general more.
The only things I like more in dark souls/bloodborne are that you can respawn bosses in DS2 and the gun parry in bloodborne
...
.....
Bloodborne was Mediocre at best, and a lot of the people praising it are just trying to convince themselves that it was worth buying an overpriced console to play it

Nah man, I really just like the game. That's okay that you don't though. I'll admit that it has some pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bosses in it, plus I'm not the biggest fan of the "lovecraftian I'm going hecking insane" vibes. But the bosses that are good are some of the best in the series. Soundtrack is one of the best ones too for me.
See like, when I say that Elden Ring is good I feel like I'm trying to justify spending sixty dollars on it. Because it just doesn't feel like as good of an experience as Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Maybe my opinion will change a bit once the DLC comes out, as that affects the discussion for sure. However, atm I just am not a big fan of how it feels. The endings don't satisfy me very much either as a lot of them just feel lazy.
I find this describes it pretty well.
It doesn't.
Whoever says that never played sekiro or doesn't have the capacity to remember what sekiro bosses actually were. The bosses are designed for elden ring's combat.
The only boss that pushes the limit is Malenia with her waterfowl
Hot take: It's the same generalized player character trudging through space and time. Elden Ring is what I like to think of as a very distant past and future of the Souls universe. Bloodborne can be included by extension of all the lore and contextual storytelling FS has masterfully presented.
I feel that 110%. There are some gimmicky things in this game! You feel so weak, right? That's why you're getting frustrated. Well, level Vigor. It's not a meme, it's just the balanced way to play before reaching late game or finding "the weapon" you're going to use for a while. I completely recognize the feeling you're having as I had it myself and did the same thing to cope.
I have played Sekiro most recently. A lot of the boss design brilliance in ER was likely a result of feedback on Sekiro's boss fights from streamers and other influencers, which was resonated through the community as a whole.
So, I love modded DS3. It's just a thing. I did the Enemy Onslaught mod with x3 enemies to near-completion but got stuck somewhere. The hardest thing I have ever done in a Souls game is triple Oceiros. I was level 150 with Washing Pole, just to have range and speed all-in-one. They don't damage each other as some other enemies do(used to?)
If you are stuck on Elden Ring as it is, you can go offline and attempt to safely mod the game. Note that you can use your firewall to prevent your save files being scanned, but remove those files before rejoining the online service with unmodded game. There aren't as many mods for ER as there are for the Souls games obviously, but give it time and we'll see how Bandai Namco/FS feel about allowing us to play around with their brilliant assets.
i only came bak to it cuz i love souls coop, n i downloaded a few muled saves so i dont need to do any tedious ♥♥♥♥.
Tedious in what way, exactly? It does not have daily login, farming, etc. and actually does its best to be a Souls game despite playing like a completely different game. All of the mechanics are bad? I don't think that's reasonable to say, but I respect your right to hate something.
Ahhhh, I gotcha. If this is what you mean, the farming to have all the items at your disposal for multiplayer... that's literally every game.
Bloodborne? Blood gem farms. Oh, you just looked up all the glyphs, and that wasn't tedious? I rest my case on that, but agree that it is what it is. Be fair and recognize the negative assessment of DS2 is ignored for that of BB
