Which is better PS4 or PC?
(Aka I'd save up for a PS5 but current sale is looking really tempting )
Tl;DR:Which is the better choice and value l, PS4 with ps plus or PC version.

Main point is that both versions are on sale, and the PS4 version physical is a lot cheaper. I'm curious if it's a better quality and deal to buy the PS4 version plus the cheapest tier of ps plus for online versus the PC version which I hear still has a myriad of issues (some in part to the anti cheat and no option to use mods yet without bans) and performance problems.

Long term, the PC version is better, since you won't need to keep paying PS subscriptions and it will work on any PC you ever have. But you could always use the PS4 as cheap entry and see if you like and just wait for another sale for the PC version if you like Elden Ring.

PC will always be the best platform, if you don't mind the price that goes along with it.

PC

the PS5 version actually has more issues than the PC one, it's optimized way worse there

I tried playing it on PS5 and it's almost never at 60 fps even with performance mode.

Here on your PC you will have the opportunity to install a mod for co-op and 60 fps, as well as convenient access to guides. Choose.

A good pc will cost more than a PS5. Posting on here your just going to get a bunch of elitists PC master race. I dont have the new xbox or ps5 and i dont plan on getting them in my experience, xbox > PS. I have a ps4 and xbox 1 and my ps4 controllers "break" when i say break one button sticks like the R2 for example so when you need to press X on the start screen of a game it dosnt work. I had to buy a whole new controller for fking $60 and the same thing happened to that one after awhile. Unless its been fixed which i doubt ill have to buy a new controller again. So needless to say i dont play my Ps4 much, i still play my xbox and obv my pc. Xbox and PC come with there own set of issues too but im not going to type out a book here, just know a good pc will cost you alot.

This isn't about "PC master race" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. PC has always been a better platform for so many reasons, I can't be bothered to list them all. Here are a few anyway...

Free MP.
Free mods.
Cheat engine.
Trainers.
Emulators.
Customizable graphics settings to improve performance.
The choice between DLSS, FSR, XESS, or whatever other upscalers there are.
Use whatever controller you want.

The cost justifies the amount of value you get with a PC.

I disagree but then again i have a life and dont see myself dumping 1k+ hours into every PC game i buy. In fact theres only 2 games ive dumped 1k+ hours into Runescape (A grindfest MMO.) And the monster hunter series, (all the games combined would be over 1k hours.)

If you have a current high grade PC (series 20 GPUs or above I'd say would be the benchmark here, no clue about AMD cards though) its good on PC. Otherwise it will probably run smoother on console.

Unless you have no problem playing offline, and disable EAC. Then even a series 900 GPU will do just fine. Because EAC is ♥♥♥♥.

There's also the argument of modding the game, if that interests you. If it does, obviously PC is preferable. If it doesn't interest you, then it doesn't matter.

You disagree, but these are facts about PC gaming, NOT opinions. Also, playing on PC means you need to spend over a thousand hours per game? Where do you dig this logic up?

You realize there are far more games on PC than console, right? And that most console games, such as Elden Ring, are ALSO on PC, right?

That actually sounds fair deal. I've been on the fence on playing this game. I'm meh on multiplayer (don't really care either way).

I've had issues with EAC on and off due to the computer programs and mods (for accessibility features). I think I'll get PS4 version to try it out and if I like it I'll get the PC version for online and mods.
This Tommy Wiseau guy is playing on a Celeron with 3DFX Voodoo 2, thats why he is hating so much.
