Seamless Coop Difficulty
I've played 2, 3, and now 4 player in seamless coop, 4 player difficulty seems to get much more boring with the difficulty level aka doing almost no damage to the boss, especially considering the amount of time spent in the boss fight, is there any setting in seamless coop do lower scaling so its more playable/fun.

I noticed that too honestly. At least for 2 player. Half the time it was made easy, then near the Fire Giant and Melania bosses were just SO damn tanky.

I did next to nothing while my friend who was pure mage basically carried 'cuz she would beam them for like 10k damage and they'd still have a lot of health left.

Don't forgot in Seamless every player can summon ashes, I don't think there is any options in the mod

Yeah unfortunately we we're struggling as 4 on godrick, also struggled on morgott, to the point where even if you played perfectly, you'd have to fight the boss for 15 minutes to kill it because its HP is so high, we luckily got enough levels to pass godrick now though

also we were under the impression that we couldnt summon until after godrick, even so the damage/health of bosses shouldnt be balanced around summon ashes that kinda forces you to play boring

So your complain is that mod that was designed to make the game easier and thus more boring, does exactly that?
Sonnenbank Sep 13, 2023 @ 6:53am
Well normal Elden Ring coop gives 60% more HP and 50% more resistance to status per player

Seamless gives 100% more HP and 100% more staus per player.
This is done because both players can use spirit summons in coop´

i personally dont like this too much either.
if you dont use spirit summons bosses become mega tanky

unfortunately if you use just 1 Tiche it melts HP too much.

bit of a dilemma really

The reading comprehension is strong with this one…

No they’re saying that the 100% per player hp boost gets a bit extreme with more than 3 players if they’re not using spirit ashes, actually making the fights harder just due to the sheer length of the fight.

I'd welcome it personally. Fighting a boss that's beefy is much more fun than fighting one that dies before you can get into the feel of the fight.

It also gives you an excuse to use party roles. IE have one guy healing, one guy doing pure magic DPS, one guy tanking, etc.

tanky bosses are hated by most people

and this is not some MMO
roles are not extactly possible

I can see the use of roles and such being interesting (how well it works in ER I'm not really sure though, especially healing considering how situational and slow heal spells are). Haven't played with just that many people so I can't really speak personally about how meat spongey the bosses get. Was just kinda funny to see someone with zero reading comprehension just parroting the 'usual arguments' against the mod without even comprehending the original post.

This is a comment for the mod author, who I'm 99.9% sure doesn't use these boards

That's right just wanted to know if anyone had insight to things I don't know about like a setting to lower the buffs enemies get per playing joining etc

You think that but after slamming into Margit on a new playthrough with 5 players (3 experienced) for over an hour the game gets somewhat boring, aka farm the shack trolls until you overlevel enough to actually deal useful damage. It was like this for Godrick as well, having to farm souls and honestly 'cheese' to fight a boss with 5 players is bad design of the mod imo. Especially when I can go into my seperate world, with the exact same items etc and 2 try the boss.

Thanks for taking care of that comment lmao, he definitely didn't understand what I mean't. The main thing is definitely the amount of health, not to mention my party and myself look up specific weapons we want and get them very early, (reduvia, bloodhounds fang, meteorite staff, great axe etc). The length of the fight makes it much harder as well considering we all literally just run out of flasks and can only make so many mistakes. BUT even if you were a god "let me solo her" player, never got touched, you'd still take minimum 5 minutes to kill the boss with the amount of extra health they have (and resistances/poise?, not sure) I just wish at the very least the mod was more open with info about exactly how the difficulty works and what it adds, some people say the fire giant doesnt get more hp? I have no clue, does it cap the buffs after 4 players?, is it actually 100%hp per player or incremented?

Yeah I think only 1 person in my group really uses summons and they aren't the good ones, I guess if you summoned mimic or tiche it could be easier, but honestly I don't even know if that would change much, I've never really used them so I wouldn't know, even if it did make it much easier, that's also bad because the goal is to have fun not to be carried by summons, but also not to fall asleep while fighting the embodiment of firegiant behind every golden wall
