Hitting her during these attacks will still do poise damage, but if you cause her stance to break during hyper armor, she just... doesn't, and will reset her poise all over again without you ever knowing.
Her waterfowl seems a lot easier to dodge, but maybe it just clicked for me all of a sudden. I never really practiced her but I'm able to dodge it pretty easily now. You just run away, then dodge toward her twice.. the trick is just being prepared to run away.
I'm able to dodge her phantom attack by literally just holding down left or right and spamming dodge until it's over. Has that always been the case? I've always seen people complain about these 2 attacks but suddenly I'm not having issues with either.
Maybe it's just because I'm running daggers with high stamina and keeping distance.
10/10 would stagger deep into her again
I don't typically complain about much in Fromsoft games as I want the challenging, unfair experience. But I do like consistency, though it is mechanically consistent in what is happening, it plays and feels inconsistent when you've been getting several hits in and waiting for that stance break moment.

The only chadness happening in the Malenia fight is when she sheds her armor, dons her equipment, and bends me over to tarnish my lost grace...
