Honestly there needs to be an option to simply turn all three off while remaining online, makes jumping into multiplayer occasionally way more annoying than necessary.

I agree. I absolutely hate the messages, ghosts and bloodstains. They spoil the game on a first playthrough and just make the environment look worse in general. Most of the messages are also just unfunny copy pasted jokes.

But I like to co-op and pvp sometimes so yeah.

I love all that stuff. But I do wish they put a message buffer around objects you can interact with. That doesn't seem like it would be hard to do. But it has been that way on all the games.

Haha, I know about this one, a true evil message. It got me a few times too.
You can summon a spirit ashes to distract the Iron Maiden, at least when you're talking about the Sealed Tunnel ladder.

Why there isn't an option to turn off messages is beyond me. They completely kill the ambience and majesty of some areas imo.

1) Stick your body to whatever the message is next to. Ladder climbing and lever prompts take priority as long as you're right in them.

2) The more you call attention to it, the more people are going to keep doing it, so get over it and preferably stop making threads about it or it will simply spread way further.

3) An option to turn off messages while online would be appreciated, but not really needed. See 1) for why.

4) I don't think there's a point in punishing players who get bad ratings. In fact, I don't think people should even use the bad rating in these cases. It validates whatever that person did and makes them know it worked. You're basically feeding the troll by rating it at all.

5) Is just a game so "who cares" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
