Harps on Tanimura for single game design decision that may or may not have been his choice

Has over 550 hours on Elden Ring at time of post.

Pretty sure you enjoyed the game that Tanimura helped produce. The man likely deserves a raise.

All the marionettes made in Raging Lucario Raya Lucaria have 4 arms for whatever reason, Ranni included since all of her bodies are dolls.

Haven't found a reason why in the lore yet though.

i spent 100 hours trying to find something good and proving to myself that tanimura is a bad game designer. the other 450 hours were in pvp, where due to the fundamental mechanics of dark souls it quite good.

her armor description specifically states that her doll body was modeled after her secret mentor - the snow witch. It's likely her mentor had 4 arms, not ranni herself (Ranni's real body can be found and she has a normal figure)

She has the same design as the puppets used by Raya Lucaria as troops, and they use their multiple arms to use multiple weapons at once. Just as the wizards designed their constructs, that's my impression.
