maliketh, malenia, godfrey and radagon are much more fun
Phase 1: Radagon
Phase 2: Radagon & Elden Beast
Phase 3: Radagon, but faster
Special guest referee Gael
But the Elden Beast was just a chore. Not because it's a massively difficult fight, but because it's so tedious. That whole "nuh-uh! Imma swim underneath the surface, pop up on the other side of the arena, pelt you with ranged attacks, and no you cannot have Torrent" bit didn't feel like a challenge--it felt like playing a TTRPG with the "no, no, I have gray eyes" guy from the old D&D skit.
Munchkins suck for a reason. From ending an otherwise fantastic game on one was just disappointing.
Still gonna get the DLC tho, NGL.
Even the visual design of Elden Beast feels a bit too lame. Just a black blob with wings and a sword. In a game where we have stuff like Rykard, maliketh, malenia second phase, astel etc.
Radagon is mostly good but still a bit disappointing compared to other amazing bosses in this game. If he had a real second phase where he turned into marika and it was a more intense fight than Boring Beast it would've been great.
So the answer is yes, it was very mid. Honestly they could've left Godfrey as the final boss and maybe give him one extra phase.
Convert to ER on PC when it releases. C'mooooooon.
Definitely going to consider it, but I have a couple of ~RL200 characters between my PS5 and XSX, and I'm not sure I'd want to start from scratch right as we're getting to pursue Dearest Miquella.
Tbh it's worth it if you're a big fan of the game and plan on replaying it.
I have it on both and the PC performance is way better. Only the PS4 version works well but it looks slightly worse.
Absolutely giving it some thought. My rig's nowhere near cutting edge anymore (i7-7770k, 16 GB DDR 3 RAM, and an RTX 2080 with an SSD for games), but it should handle it well enough at 1440p.
We have some expenses coming down the pike (I just had a vasectomy, which our insurance should cover the entirety of, but we're also about to add a puppy to our household, in addition to a couple of home improvement projects), so I'll have to look at what the budget allows.
My wife is really awesome about letting me buy shiny toys, but it has to stay within reason. Since I already have two copies of the game, buying a third will be hard to justify--especially since I'm going to be downstairs with the puppy for at least 2-3 months, and our gaming PCs are on the second floor. Hell, I got ER for the PS 5 initially because we were planning our current dog, and I wanted to be where she'd be hanging out when she came home. Same situation right now.
Still, it is awfully tempting.
