Whoops.
How I first read this.
High health will not save you if you have low absorption against
whatever is boss' main source of damage.
I guess some players like high risk glass cannon builds though.
*gets grabbed by boss and dies*
What damage is the poison mist from the putrid tree spirits and from the valiant gargoyles to begin with?
Or Maliketh? What damage type(s) are the Black Blade attacks? It causes fire DoT but its player incantation version does pure holy damage.
At least its not DS3 where mid/late game every boss dealt a minimum of 3-4 different damage types.
If you're unsure what damage boss does equip best Dragoncrest and/or Pearldrake
talismans you have, depending on absorptions of your armor.
I believe Maliketh does standard and holy damage with his attacks.
I am not sure about poison/rot mist from trees but It is likely holy or standard damage.
It is also possible that damage ignore absorptions.
