There.....trumpet wielding envoys (also with bubbles)
While her weapon is just a bow, she's unique in that she can't move. Which means you have to think about where to plop her so that she doesn't die in 10 seconds - some kind of high ground("Hello there") is preferrable.
The reward comes in form of a consistent, extremely damaging sniper fire support, and the range is nothing to sneeze at too. Basically, if you've seen one of those archers near Ordina, then you know what to expect.
They have a unique attack with some bosses where they climb on them and attack. The boss will have to shake/knock them off. Really good distraction for these types of bosses.
Figured "Why not" and teamed up with Battlemage Hugues for a spirit since I was a spellsword. He's probably not the best but I've seen him stagger the heck out of a lot of bosses. He has a good mix of close range and long range abilities that rarely miss because of their AoE.
If you're going to use a spirit, pick one that matches the theme of your build. A partner pokemon of sorts who shares your interests. If you use a curved greatsword, use the Kaiden Sellsword. If you're a Faith build, use Amon the Blackflame Monk. That kind of thing.
I used them boyz for a good third of the game. Called em the Goon Squad
They may seem to be some sort of comedy option, but they pretty much carried me through my first playthrough of the game.
See, individually, they're not particularly scary, but you summon 5 of them in one go, they are surprisingly tanky compared to their mob counterpart and they are super aggressive and will often completely thugstomp any boss capable of getting stunlocked.
Another situational ash that saved my bacon was Redmane Knight Ogha vs Malenia. True, he looks like just another weapon-using knight, but the weapon he is using happens to be a big ♥♥♥♥ greatbow firing gravity-imbued arrows at huge range. Most summons only give Malenia more health bars to snack on, but Ogha's arrows will consistently knock her on her ass while she's engaging you, allowing you to get lots of hits in while she's down. Ogha is no slouch in melee either.
Don't use Pumpkin if you're running bleeding build though :-)
With doodoo and flatulence through the night
What a thrill
I'm searching for a patty melt full of poo
What a fart in my heart
From that turdrrito supreme!
I move my bowel
Not for honor, butt for stew (Dung Eater)
At my table, there'll be no one else
Grime, it's the way you say "P U!" (Dung Eater)
I dine in a latrine, Dung Eater
Ba da ba DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I mean, Dung Eater is pretty good.
