My advice, which I know this won't be heeded, is to stop trying to skip to the finish line and actually fight the boss. Its a really fun boss when you stop trying to rush it.
As For Elden Stars, run the opposite direction its currently going, wherever it tries to go. NOT running away from it, because then you are going in the same direction.
Whenever it is about to catch up to you, turn around and run through it and keep going.
Lmao I absolutely love your pedantic tone. I'm just using a weapon I enjoy, I am not overleveled and I use no summons. Nothing about what I do fits the stereotypical "omg lol git gud" mentality you chase after like a rabid dog here. It just so happens Astel's R2 can stagger the thing.
Obviously blocked and indeed your advice "won't be heeded". Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clown.
I've never seen him go for a second breath attack. It wasn't until dying twice to it I found out I'm completely immune while standing near his rear end when he's in the process.
But I'll try this tomorrow; just blast off half its health then try to get the remainder in another obvious opening. Note that the only reason this works is because all orbs hit it - which implies I need to be real close.
But based on previous replies I'm either going to have to somehow push that boundary of the remaining 20% or just not take off as much at the start. Unfortunately the fight lasts positively forever if I don't, and I really despise EB as a boss (it has 2 attacks that just hit me regardless of what I do, and the constant fleeing is getting on my nerves after a while).
Absolutely hate this boss, but the advice was on point.
