So called "griefing" is targeted harrassment. The random nature of invasions means it's impossible to "grief" somebody in this game.

Lmfao classic vid. In all seriousness though yea, twinks in low level areas (mostly surrounding the first step right out the tutorial) is freaking awful. Sucks you basically gotta wait till stormveil just to actually co-op and stand a chance but it is what it is. ER multiplayer is severely flawed on so many levels. If you’re looking to just enjoy co-op with a friend through the whole game, seamless mod might be worth looking into

Targeting specific player demographics is though, and that's very possible to control through the matchmaking system and choice of multiplayer venue.

Its just an inevitable part of souls games. Its ♥♥♥♥ but almost lets you know what you are getting into when playing coop.

ive lost 1 time to an invader and it was on ramps after marge out of of the other 12 times i just spam magic and win.

Nah, when you purposely seek strong weaponry and armor to stalk and destroy other lower leveled character, you're a griefer, its a simple concept. Obviously you can say its based on perspective, but my perspective is that farming strong gear to invade low levels is griefing.

I understand it, i've dealt with it since I first started playing online mmos and rpgs, but like I wish I could ask the people that killed me why, conversation can bring understanding, obviously that's not ever likely to happen.... not everyone understands the urge to gank lowbies.

Its so constant and overdone throughout games with this kind of multiplayer that one can't help but feel exasperated.

It happens in all ds games you get what's called twink builds who love to invade noob's. It's a counter balance to gank squads. In ER as the balance sucks but most players early stage have at least 1 friend who is generally higher and they are usually able to deal with a low level invader. Main sad issue is when the noobs run in and die fast
