fire giant is so bad and elden ring is one of the worst games ever made
this game is so broken so unbalanced so bizarre, i play as an astrologer right, and then i come to the fire giant. good luck beating it with the astrologer, a character who barely moves and makes slow attacks.

talk about bad developers who makes a game breaking boss, how are you even supposed to beat this boss? if you manage to get close what do you do, try and lock on target good luck. if you try and get some distance well let me tell you big suprise he smashes you or show you fireballs and game over.

this game, it could have been a fun game if it had been similar to darksiders, instead its some kind of bad clown game.

i played this on ps 5 and i hope nobody waste money on it

Spiral shard, aim at middle of body.
Easy GG

If you’re treating it like a spectacle fighter like Darksiders then there’s your first issue. Fire giant takes a lot of patience, careful play and whittling him down. He has long recovery animations to take advantage of those when you can, and get the timings down for dodging. I do agree the targeting and camera that comes with for this fight is absolutely awful though (nowhere near as bad as Wolf’s colonoscopy exam at the bottom of the well in Seikiro but still pretty rough) so try to manage with free cam.

Fire giant shouldn’t be hard as a mage if you get comet azure it’s gg with terra magica I think is what it’s called also this game is nur one you have to face the bosses in order with just do something else grind like or something it’s not a game with one path

As mage I used the moonlight great sword on his first phase by whacking his feet and dodging.

Then in second phase I used comet azure at point blank range by moving underneath his body when he falls to the ground to do that AOE firestorm attack.

High risk high reward tactic.

Also I did it with like 15 vigor. basically a no-hit run

I always used adula's moonblade on him, just go for the feet.

depends on the build you use. Will admit he is annoying for moving around so much, even after deleting one of his legs.

So, you come to this conclusion after playing how long?

I played as an astrologer on the first playthrough and found the fire giant to be quite easy. Having played Shadow of the Beast in the 90s, I knew to attack his feet ;)

Again, the game is a "clown game" after how many hours?

You're just venting.

He is one of the few fights where I acknowledge the camera issue actually being an issue.

Here's a tip: When underneath him you obviously cannot see what attack he is doing, right? Well not quite, when he attacks he telegraphs with his entire body. Its not complicated, you can hear him breathing in while preparing it, but when the attack itself happens (doesn't matter which) his whole body lurches suddenly, and that is when you dodge.

In phase 2 its a little more difficult, mostly just figure out the sweet spot underneath him to where he won't crush you when he rolls away. It makes things a lot easier.

Transient Moonlight and "sweep the leg."

The class you pick at the start of the game ceases to have any relevance in the first 30 minutes of gameplay. Just figured I'd point that out. I went Confessor solely for the fashion on my first run, then gave her an Int build.

Anyways... Int-based solution to the Fire Giant... Terra Magica + Comet Azur + Mimic Tear is the standard cheese for most things. Since I'm doing a Faith build this run, I figure I'll just fire off Pest Threads at it from below once I get there.

And if worst comes to worst you can always grab the Jellyfish Shield, upgrade it, and turtle when he starts his Limp Bizkit routine... then power up and blast him.

You know a Souls boss is good when there are people making rage threads about them.
