No, i agree with you. You can use the environment to your advantage and as the fight unfolds the whole dragon altar gets more and more devastated, not bad at all.
And lore wise they are just two cultists of the Gloam eyed queen trying to stop you to relase the rune of destined death created by their "mother" so if you go there with a clue about whats going on lore wise you will actually be able to enjoy the fight instead the classic "LULZ REUZEZ CONTENZ THOZE GUYZ AGAINZ".

It's fine, you can use a spirit, get Bernahl to help, use sleep effects... only a bottleneck for players who refuse all of that.

I defeated them in my first game without knowing about the sleep thing, WIth Bernahl by my side they didn't feel as tough as they did separated, specially the priest.
Its just another double fight, like the Crucible Knights. Those or the Gargoyles gave me much more troubles.

I think it's a silly fight. I don't understand why it is the way it. Instead of being a proper double fight, each of them has only like 1/5 of the encounter's health bar and you have to kill around 5 of them, resulting in most of the fight being 1v1, or even 1v0 while you wait for one of them to respawn.

Easy fight is not good fight. Summoning Tragoth (like you are supposed to) turn it into a joke. Spirit summons on top of that (which are kind of unnecessary) further trivializes them to the point where I could kill them both before they could respawn.

Or use RoB to bleed the crap out of them.

Or put them to sleep.

And if you're trying to do the fight solo, that's fine, but you have no room to complain.

Its also just slapstick. They just dropped two bosses into a room and called it a day, didn't add anything new, didn't try to balance it, didn't have a phase 2 where you fought a merged version of both, nothing. Like the famous blade of Marinara, a disappointing boss.

Some part of me really hated it, because it became a game of patience. Pulling out one far enough so you could make some damage while not instantly being punished by the other guy. Involved a lot of running. In my final attempt I didn't even hit the big guy once.
Blackflame spam sucked, easy to dodge but that excessive spam really annoyed the crap out of me.
Overall both enemies are cool and the duo fight really forges it into something new. I could say I like the fight but I don't like playing it, if that makes sense. :D

It's a really stupid fight if you don't know their weaknesses.

It's a super easy fight once you do.

I won't, because there is no reason to. The only problem with it is the reuse, the fight itself is fine. I just hate all the recycling they did, but I guess it was necessary with this many bosses.

The fight could be replaced with an actual good fight.
My idea is, Phase 1 from Maliketh: Beast Clergyman. After defeat, he retreats back to the final arena as Maliketh with a full health bar.
Advantage: Maliketh is a cool fight, but he has so much damage output, that the fight doesn't last very long. Either he kills you fast, or you kill him fast. There's less chance to practice him as 2.phase fight. And the health bar is quite small.

Duo fights are generally very wonky, RNG plays a much bigger role. it's hard to make a good duo or more boss fight.
