I don't like "funny" design of some enemies
Albinaurics (the guys on the lake capable of doing wheels)
And oracle envoys (trumpet soap bubble guys)

and giant Radahn on tiny horse. straight out of comedy
wtf? why?

The reason Radahn can ride on his horse is his gravitation magic and he specifically learned to use this type of magic so he could ride it.

they are too funny to be in dark fantasy. I don't feel as edgelord when I see them.

Have you never played a Souls game before?
Because they've always had silly stuff.

But it works (not saying that you think it doesn't, just want to add to this). There are games where every little thing is so grimdark and edgy on purpose... it can make the game world as a whole less believable. Also a bit of levity or absurdity creates an offset so that the really dark parts have a stronger impact. CDPR should take notes ^^ scnr
I don't like it either, it is breaking immersion imo. I it is like making Malekith looking like a pokemon Pikachu.

Because Radahn on Leonard is the best thing in the game.

It's honestly kinda hilarious to me that this is what's immersion breaking to people.
Souls games have always been full of memey characters and designs.

Why does every creature need to be edgy just because it's a dark fantasy?
Even Berserk has this stuff, even moreso than Souls games really.
I'd say it makes it more immersive and realistic if anything, just like how the real world is full of incredibly horrifying stuff and vile people but also a lot of funny and beautiful things too.
The same goes for nature too, we focus a lot on cute things in nature.
But nature is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up too and has a lot of disturbing things in it too.
A lot of horror creatures are very closely inspired by real animals, there's a lot of creepy and disgusting frogs for example.
But there's also a lot of cute looking frogs.

If anything I'd say having nothing like this and just being solely edgy and '' dark '' comes across as pretentious.
I think TLOU2 was a good example of that where it became blatant torture porn and was just continously depressing and violent.
I think it starts to feel fake and pretentious when fantasy goes that route.

It makes sense that stuff like Albinaurics would exist, when everything is edgy and '' scary '' it makes it feel artifical.
As if everything existing in the world was designed by someone to scare you, rather than naturally occuring in the world.

Alburanics?

Why must I like the design? Isn't this all about personal preferences?

you mustve missed radahns backstory and lore, because your points are answered and radahn straight up started eating a cleanrot, how is this funny?

Unfortunately, i kinda agree with this.

I know the lore behind Radahn and his love for Leonard, buuut....
It makes sense. We know that Radahn used to be much smaller (as evidenced by the game's intro), so back then he was probably around the same size as his horse.

But as he got stronger and bigger, instead of ditching his old friend for a new badass mount like a dragon or something, he stayed loyal to Leonard until the end.

And that, my friends, is the stuff of gigachads.

Have you looked at a basalisk up close? They look more silly than anything in any souls game.

Wait till you run into the Albinaurics outside the Mohgwyn Palace. Ain't nothing funny about those bastards.

I'm only disappointed that there aren't any SMT-style Mara characters.

Might help to watch some of the anime the creator bases some of his ideas on. Not going to say copying, but it's hard not to notice the parallels sometimes. Would probably start with the 'Berserk' franchise. Think maybe it only stands out because it's coming from a culture you're not use to? Maybe anyway. This is sort of normal in Japanese culture beyond Anime as well, though not so much in the villages. Granted, even there, it's still there when you look at Japanese folklore, or say the Edo Period of artwork and whatnot. Just be happy he didn't put 屁合戦 (Fart competitions known as "Fart Scrolls".) in the game. Don't think you know how my ancestors there got down given what you're saying.
