Hidden mechanics?

Post anything you've found that's not obvious or easy to find out, game mechanics wise (not hidden locations).

- With regular curved swords: L2 holding + press dodge before it finishes = Character attacks then flips backward
- Honed Bolt: Can be chained by repeatedly pressing the attack button (not the only spell this applies to either)
- Holding down the switch item/spell slot buttons instantly brings the first slot to the front
- Anything that "Works on allies" works on spirit summons too

Also certain static objects used by NPCs (ballistas, flamethrowers) count as a "kill" for the purposes of certain talisman effects (restores FP upon any kill, for example) when destroyed by the player.

Coded swords don't get ANY benefit from the claw talisman.

The white player shadows are not only from players who have been there a few seconds ago. You can also see shadows from a very long time ago, players who didn't play since weeks, especially when you use the same Group Password.
Why I know this ? Playing on alt account since November already. And still I can see my own chars running around, last time played in autumn.

When you never rest at any grace in Altus Plateau the door to Dung Eater in Roundtable Hold stays closed and his quest will never start.
Also without resting in Altus the Blackguard Big Boggart won't move there, even when you bought the necklace and some prawns.

Lions warriors do not attempt to dodge Night Comet, unlike all other forms of projectiles. Likely because they cannot see it.

The incantation Greyoll roar not only debuffs your foes as intended. If they carry a burning weapon you can extinguish the weapon fire, making it a normal weapon.

Useless since there are just a few enemies with fire imbued weapons....the Caelid pumpkin duo are the ones coming to my mind....will record it later.
