especially considering in the context of the game she knows what the frenzied flame is, but that doesn't mean she knows about the rest of the endings or their implications.
Frenzied flame = sterilized dead world.
sometimes it better to start anew from nothing then to try and fix the mess you have
the whole point of the flame of frenzy is that there is no "starting anew"
The frenzied flame feels all of the above is wrong and that the greater will is to blame, and wants to do away with all of it. As Hyetta says after she becomes your maiden:
"I have touched them. The words of the Three Fingers. As your maiden, allow me to divine them. All that there is came from the One Great. Then came fractures, and births, and souls. But the Greater Will made a mistake. Torment, despair, affliction... every sin, every curse. Every one, born of the mistake. And so, what was borrowed must be returned. Melt it all away, with the yellow chaos flame. Until all is One again."
Essentially, the Frenzied Flame wants to reverse the Big Bang and allow everything to (possibly) start over in a better state.
Burning the erdtree with the giantsflame is essentially revealing an ugly truth about what it was once used to commit, and some losing faith in it. But burning it down completely with the frenzy flame is revealing that the story behind it is a total lie, destroying all faith in it and bringing the entire system to the ground (as this is implied to be a theocracy). In essence, anarchy follows in its wake. And with anarchy comes lots of chaos and unnecessary death.
You have to remember that "death" and "destined death" are in fact two different concepts that describe different phenomenon. The second is closer to the classical definition of death, which is to say once you die, you dead, game over. The first is more of a temporary setback.
Though I will point out you don't need to burn the whole thing down to remove those in power. You can go to each one of the demigods in person and give them whats coming to them instead, then just help ranni achieve her goal (which is killing the two fingers).
Melina is a manipulative c**nt just like Ranni. She imbues us with runes for us to clear the way for her, she wants to kill Margit and burn the Tree but is afraid of "real changes", she basically wants US to become Marika's consort. It is as if some big politician IRL gave me money and power and asked me to support everything he does on public... While being the one I hate and loathe (since tarnished were exiled and betrayed by Marika).
Ranni at least wants change, but I don't like her either. I don't want to be manipulated by gods and big guys. If I had a button that could destroy this wretched along with myself, I'd press it. And when a man comes at me and tries to manipulate me into burning the world by saying it would protect Melina... My guy. You could have said it from the start. I will not become the lord of gods and those who oppress and rule if I can burn them away.
"Those who gave me grapes howled without words.
Saying they wished they were never born.
Become their lord.
Take their torment, despair.
Their affliction.
Every sin, every curse.
And melt it all away."
These lines, especially the first one, are so frighteningly simple. Common people of Elden ring do not want a god or a lord. All they want is release of suffering. Lords that rule over them want everything else. The choice for me is pretty clear. No gods, no masters! And may Chaos take the world.
