Would it be okay to play first time modded like with Reforged or just start vanilla?

Generally its best to start with vanilla in any game, but its your game, do what you want.

Just be aware that you can't access online features if you use mods.

That's literally up to you. Personnaly i like what mods offer. Like being able to buy stuff directly from my menu instead of running around 20 billion spawn points to find the right merchant. But also mods remove fps and give me ultrawide so yeah...

Just have to remove all mods before playing online. Mods = ban unless you play offline.

Up to you but I would start with vanilla. Otherwise you have no point of reference to compare the mods to.

Finished vanilla once and am halfway through a 2nd playthrough. Reforged looks interesting, particularly the FP regen mechanics and the fact that you can respawn fun bosses to keep practicing against them.

I am, however, not a particularly good player, and mods have an awful habit of wrecking balance completely and making already hard games way harder. Is this also the case with ERR or does it actually add to the experience without ruining it for scrubs?

--------- IPersonally finished a playthrough of Eden ring reforged yesterday, and I dunno if my game got a difficulty problem or something but yes the game depending on what you are playing can feel much harder, there is a sh*t ton of useful stuff for helping you, in certain way it's maybe even easier then the vanilla with some build and magic, but if you just want to play fast and build a Dex or Str character and hoping to ave easy life , you may ave big problem , the game can feel mych harder then the vanilla in certain way , but i ave much more enjoyed the game modded because it's make you adapt and play more seriously then the base game , you really need to discover and search for the item to make your life easier and make you stronger , in my modded playtrough i ave literally discovered all the map and i ave a bunch of item spells and experience , i think i played the game in a better way whith the mod

Sorry, didn't read your post. Does this mod make bosses unfairly difficult, in your opinion? Some of them are already bordering on BS, would like some changes to make some AoE hitboxes smaller and tone down constant aggression on Malekith, for instance.

The MOD makes the game as easy or hard as you want, you can change the parameters at a site of grace according to the description.

What if you go with the default difficulty?

Currently playing this mod, the QOL features are great, not made an attempt at any boss yet though, so I can't tell if it's more or less challenging.
