Notably on the first flurry in waterfowl. Its tracking in singleplayer specifically is insane, much better than it was before. Even BHS has issues dodging it completely when trying to evade backwards, and the flurry itself can cover at least 50 feet in terms of distance. Honestly the only way I've been able to reliable dodge it is to get right in her face before she triggers it, then evade forward, through it with BHS.
The other two flurries seem unchanged though, strategy is the same for them.
Thats the bottom line really (unless they buffed her like yesterday....then i shut up).
It's a bit weird, I dodge exactly like in the Ongbal video, sometimes I take damage from Malenia's Waterfowl dance regardless, regardless which flurry it is, sometimes it's a no hit, weird...
I think the lightroll feels the same, must be the watefowl got buffed
Lightroll is good for every Malenia attack, except Waterfowl.
I killed her solo multiple times already thanks to the reverting backups. My problem I think was that since I was trying to parry her and whenever she started her Waterfowl attack she was way too close to me and dodging it was challenging.
But yeah I am further testing this...
At least the patches didn't mention anything about either and there would be no reason for them to hide those changes completely.
There were a number of exploits and glitches used in the early version of the game that no longer function, for example the cliff wall at the town in Conscreated snowfield, they changed the position of the wall itself so its impossible to climb now (people were using torrent climbing to bypass the evergaol).
hmm I will try and test. I noticed, the farther you are, the more her attack will catch up to you and Ongbal's way of dodging works in singleplayer only: 1) the run away or dodge away first flurry of attacks 2) then dodge once forward during next 3) then walk to the right and slightly back and the rest will literally go over your head lol and no damage.
In multiplayer that tends to hit me:
1) Need to run away or dodge two times back 2) One time forward 3) Two times back
A change as big as buffing a boss or nerfing a main mechanic of the game would 100% be in the patch notes.
Just because they didn't list some random obscure exploits it doesn't mean that they wouldn't list something as important as a nerf to the roll.
I only had this issue when I was the host strangely, I was able to dodge every waterfowl as a summon.
Wow, one day I hope I can do RL1 0+, for now I can more or less dodge away and parry all of her parriable attacks if I don't panic, but still make some mistakes.
If they buffed/nerfed her stats that would be a different story.
OP's issue has nothing to do with either tracking or pathing. If the light roll supposedly isn't enough to dodge it anymore it would be a buff to her range/speed or nerf to the roll itself.
Light roll can outrun waterfowl no matter what her tracking is.
Those would be in the patch notes.
It literally doesn't.
Range/speed has nothing to do with tracking and pathing lmao.
Tracking/pathing is the direction in which she uses things and how well she follows you with them aka aiming.
Range/speed are literal stats that would change how fast she moves forward or how far she hits. That's what she would need to make light roll not work anymore.
